What it is
WineFlow has an MCP server: an entry point that AI assistants use to reach your data in WineFlow. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard supported by Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and other apps.
Once it is connected, you can ask your assistant how much Brunello di Montalcino you have in stock and at what price, or which offers a customer has received, and the answer comes from your data in WineFlow. The assistant can also prepare draft offers, which you check and send from WineFlow, and record data such as new customers or stock movements.
https://mcp.wineflow.app/mcp
This address is all you paste into your assistant. Signing in to WineFlow happens on the next screen.
An example
“Prepare an offer for Pinco and Pallino with Brunello di Montalcino in several vintages.”The assistant then:
- Finds both customers in WineFlow, even if you wrote their names approximately.
- Lists the Brunello di Montalcino vintages, each with its price and the stock still free.
- Asks you for whatever is missing.
- Creates the draft offer and gives you its number and a link to open it in WineFlow.
Nothing has reached the customers yet. You open the draft in WineFlow, check it and send it from there.
Who can use it
-
Your plan includes it
It is included in the Professional and Enterprise plans, and in Business with the AI add-on. It is not available on Starter.
-
An administrator turns it on
A company administrator enables it first, in WineFlow under Admin > AI assistants. Until then, nobody in the company can connect an assistant.
-
Each user connects their own assistant
The assistant then acts with exactly that person's permissions in the company: the same role and the same visibility. A role that cannot see purchase prices in WineFlow does not see them through the assistant either.
How to connect your assistant
Every app works the same way: you add WineFlow as a connector, paste the server address and sign in to WineFlow. You never give the assistant your password or an API key.
WineFlow then shows a consent screen with the app that is asking to connect, the company it will work on and the permissions it asks for: read only, or read and write. Nothing is connected until you approve.
Claude
Web, desktop and mobile- In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Settings > Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector and paste the server address.
- Sign in to WineFlow and approve the connection.
- The Free plan allows one custom connector; Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise allow more.
- On Team and Enterprise, an owner of the organisation adds the connector first.
- A connector added on the web or on the desktop is then available in the Claude apps for iOS and Android.
ChatGPT
Web only- In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings > Apps & Connectors > Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Create a connector and paste the server address.
- Sign in to WineFlow and approve the connection.
- At the time of writing, write actions through custom connectors are in beta for Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, where an administrator enables developer mode. On Pro, access is read-only.
- Custom connectors are not available in the ChatGPT mobile apps.
Gemini
Web, then also mobile- In the Gemini app on the web, open Settings > Connected apps.
- Choose Add a custom app and paste the server address.
- Sign in to WineFlow and approve the connection.
- At the time of writing, Google offers custom apps only to users over 18 in the United States, with a personal Google account and a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription.
- Once added on the web, it can also be used in the Gemini mobile app.
Grok
Web, iOS and Android- On grok.com, open Connectors, then New connector > Custom.
- Paste the server address.
- Sign in to WineFlow and approve the connection.
- On Grok Business and Enterprise, an administrator adds the connector first.
- Connectors work on the web and in the iOS and Android apps.
Other MCP clients
For technical usersTools such as Claude Code and development environments that support MCP use the same address: add it as a remote server (Streamable HTTP) with OAuth sign-in.
On the consent screen, apps other than Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and Google Antigravity are shown as “unverified”, and they can connect only if your company administrator allows other apps.
What the assistant can do
Always within what your role can see and do in WineFlow.
Read
- Customers
- Wines and vintages, with prices and stock
- Suppliers
- Offers and orders
- Proformas and invoices recorded in WineFlow
- Shipments
- Leads and campaigns
- Sales figures and recommendations
Prepare and record
With read and write permission. These are drafts and records: nothing is sent to a customer.
- Draft offers and their revisions
- Notes and recipients of a draft offer
- Margin approval requests
- Customers and suppliers
- Wines
- Stock movements
- Leads and their activities
- Draft campaigns
What it cannot do
- Send emails or documents to customers. Offers are prepared as drafts and sent from WineFlow.
- Delete data.
- Approve margin exceptions.
- Issue invoices.
- Change company settings or users.
Steps that cannot be undone — accepting an offer, turning it into an order, confirming or shipping an order — are done in WineFlow.
Security and privacy
A sign-in, not a password
The assistant connects through an OAuth sign-in to WineFlow. It never receives your password or an API key, and on WineFlow's own consent screen you approve which app connects, to which company and with which permissions.
Your permissions, nothing more
The assistant works with your role and your visibility in your company. What you cannot see or do in WineFlow, it cannot see or do either.
Disconnect whenever you like
You can revoke a connection at any time in WineFlow, under My profile > AI assistants. Administrators see every connection in the company and can revoke any of them.
Every change is on record
Each change made through an assistant is recorded in WineFlow's audit trail, marked as made by an AI assistant on your behalf.
Where your data goes
What the assistant reads from WineFlow is sent to the AI provider you chose — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI — and is handled under that provider's terms. That is why a company administrator has to enable the feature for the company before anyone can use it.
Limits worth knowing
- The assistant works on one company: yours.
- Results are paged, so long lists come in parts.
- Prices are in euros, excluding VAT.
- Quantities are in bottles.
- What each app allows — plans, countries, mobile apps, read-only access — is up to its provider, and is set out above under each app.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe? What data leaves WineFlow?
The assistant signs in as you and sees only what your role sees; it never receives your password or an API key. The data it reads to answer you is sent to the provider of the AI app you use, under that provider's terms. That is why an administrator decides whether the company uses it.
Can it send an offer to a customer by itself?
No. It prepares the offer as a draft and gives you a link to it. You check the draft and send it from WineFlow.
What happens if I change my WineFlow password?
Your assistant connections are disconnected. Connect again from the app and sign in with your new password.
How do I disconnect an assistant?
In WineFlow, open My profile > AI assistants and revoke the connection. An administrator can revoke it too.
Why can a colleague not connect, or not see what I see?
It depends on three things: the company's plan (it is not on Starter, and Business needs the AI add-on), whether an administrator has turned it on under Admin > AI assistants, and your colleague's role, which decides what the assistant can see and do for them. Each person also connects their own assistant.
Does it cost extra?
It is included in the Professional and Enterprise plans, and in Business with the AI add-on. The AI app itself is your own account with its provider — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI — on whatever plan that provider requires.
Which languages does it work in?
The assistant answers in your language: write to it in English and it answers in English.
